Pittenweem Arts Festival
The 28th Pittenweem Arts Festival this year runs from Saturday 6th – Sunday 14th August.
The festival always starts on the first Saturday in August and ends on the second Sunday. The Festival hosts both well-established artists and newcomers. The entire village becomes the arts festival with many of the local homes becoming art galleries for the festival period. It is a fabulous event and attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year.
Pittenweem is located 1.5 miles from St Monans and can be accessed by car on the main road or by foot along the picturesque Fife coastal path.
This year the festival will present the following artists and many more besides:
- Kate Downie with a drawing installation inspired by civil engineering.
- The scrap-metal animal sculptures of Helen Denerley which will appear on the Outer Pier at the harbour.
- Alex Muir: milliner of distinction. Pittenweem-based Alex’s exhibition celebrates forty years of hat creation.
- Pum Dumbar: artist and collagist.
